Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking to fill the role of Global Media and Partnership account manager. This position manages all phases of sponsorship/partnership programs and ensures company's effective media presence. It is important to keep up with media development and latest trends.

Responsibilities include:
• Media: Understand and be able to apply your knowledge of media landscape (from planning, buying and measurement point of view), demonstrate a wide degree of creativity and a strong interest in shaping ESET brand, image and values through appropriate allocation of media channels and marketing events.
• Partnerships: Cooperate in developing, maintaining and implementing a decision process and criteria for sponsorship selection and evaluation in-line with ESET brand strategy, brand story, brand guidelines, value proposition, brand comms and overall experience. Co-lead evaluation and negotiations for major future international partnerships and sponsorships, liaising with potential partners/agencies, ESET marketing/sales/finance/legal and regional/country leaders.
• Brand: Responsible for driving brand awareness and consideration, driving demand for our products and services, establishing correct brand associations and ensuring brand consistency across all media touchpoints as well as the business (partners and resellers included).
• Insight: Use brand and media data and insights to evaluate results of ESET's brand efforts and executed brand campaigns and sponsorships. Collect data and create framework and benchmarks to measure media effectiveness and efficiency and their impact on ESET brand and business.
• Execution and Project Management: Lead core logistical tasks surrounding the negotiating, planning and execution of sponsorships. Ensure that deliverables (including consistent messaging across all touchpoints) are created and delivered on time. Define other integrated media tactics and set smart targets to support business from brand point of view. Assist in media budget planning, tracking and spending.
• Collaboration: Actively build relations with other stakeholders and contribute to productive and close cooperation within other global and regional teams. If required, assist in selection of, and drive collaboration with external agencies and vendors.

Personality requirements and skills

Hard skills:
• Minimum six (6) years of experience in at least three of the following: sponsorships, partnerships, media planning, media buying, media account management
• Experience gained in renowned media/comms/event agency or large company in technology sector or marketing/strategy consultancy
• English language at C1 or better
• Brand and media expertise
• Proven track record of producing strategic marketing, media and communications content
• Strong knowledge and experience in sponsorships
• Demonstrable experience in building effective media campaigns, sponsorships or partnerships

Soft skills:
• Good interpersonal skills with focus on building lasting business relationships
• Strong negotiation skills, target oriented
• Well organized and structured approach to tasks with understanding of all strategy, marketing and communication disciplines
• Active listening with pragmatic approach, ability to combine strong data analytics understanding with creativity
• Both big picture and detail oriented, with ability to view topics holistically (end to end) but also break down into phases (step by step)
• Sense of ownership, flexibility, output, and impact/results orientation accepting tight deadlines

Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world's first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world - dubbing it NOD. In 1992, together with their mutual friend Rudolf Hrubý, they formally established ESET.

What started as the brainchild of a few friends has evolved into the most valuable international brand of any Slovak company. Today ESET's NOD32 technology protects over 100 million users across the world.

This success did not come overnight. The company's global success and growth was given a boost in 1998 with its first "VB100" award from the prestigious Virus Bulletin magazine. Since then, we've received this accolade more than 100 times.

Today, over 1,600 employees around the world drive the company's success - a telling increase from 3 in 1987 and 135 in 2006. Almost 900 of them are based in Slovakia, the home of ESET headquarters.
