Business Recovery Services (BRS) at PwC Slovakia operates within our Advisory practice.

We currently have a vacancy at Manager level. Candidate will work as part of a team providing support on insolvency and restructuring engagements. It will involve working on a diverse portfolio of cases, both in terms of size of businesses and industry sectors.

The Role:
  • Overseeing portfolio of cases, including setting of the case strategies and driving of case progression;
  • Liaising with creditors, stakeholders and other specialist areas within PwC;
  • Managing and training a team of junior staff;
  • Office management role, including ensuring compliance with risk and quality; and
  • Assisting with development and marketing of the practice.

Personality requirements and skills

Essential Skills, Experience and Attributes:
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience and/or existing manager preferred;
  • At least 5 years of previous experience in managing a small portfolio of insolvency cases, including liquidations;
  • Legal experience or university degree in law is a big advantange
  • ACA/ ACCA, CA/CPA or equivalent or JIEB;
  • Experience in stakeholder management;
  • Ability to build and lead a team, manage and motivate others;
  • To act independently with limited supervision;
  • Proven project and time management skills;
  • Strong analytical skills and insolvency technical knowledge;
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a pressurized working environment;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Awareness of risk & quality issues; and
  • Willingness to participate in marketing and business development
