About the Team
Cyber Defense's mission is to monitor, detect and disrupt cyber security threats targeting Swiss Re. We protect our employees and customers while constantly aiming to deliver exceptional security services. We are a new team that is growing quickly to lead, own, and inspire cyber security change across Swiss Re while continuously maturing our operations and practices to align with the best in the industry.
About the Role
Would you take pride in developing the platform that defends one of the largest reinsurance companies of the world from cyberattacks? Is it attractive for you to work with modern technologies? Do you want to learn from a team of international experts?
If you are still reading, we want to talk to you!
We are looking for a junior software engineer who can work on the ongoing development of our Cyber Defense's technical operating platform, which includes working with cloud technologies as well as the development of various software components. You do not need to be able to work with all the technologies we use - we will start with what you know, and you will learn the rest.
Some of the work requires developing in Python and working with container technologies. As Swiss Re has a growing footprint in public cloud platforms - primarily in Microsoft Azure - there is a growing need and opportunity to work with emerging cloud technologies as well.
In Cyber Defense we work according to agile methods. The senior members of our team will coach you to help you learn, grow and to push your professional boundaries. You will be joining a growing team where you will have ample opportunity to learn and grow in your professional career.
