Job description, responsibilities and duties

This role is within the Enriched Interactions and Collaboration (EIC) Business Unit which focuses on a portfolio of solutions to enable B2B, B2C and internal corporate interactions for Voice, Unified Communication & Collaboration. The role of EIC Transversal Business Development Manager will be focused on five areas:
• Expert level support on EIC customer opportunities jointly with Sales Specialist and customer-facing presentations primarily for Europe.
• Support Europe Go to Market plans especially on targeted sales & marketing campaigns.
• Demonstrate and Drive Voice Digital Tools adoption, usage.
• Support on API's customer presentations, use cases and adoption.
• Drive Data Analytics initiatives in terms of user adoption, new use cases development.


Pipeline and Order Generation of new innovative Solutions - Build and develop relationships with Europe sales and account management teams
o Supports activity on both new business as well as existing customers.
o Work with the Account Manager to identify, define and qualify opportunities to ensure growth in target accounts.
o Responsible for supporting the accounts in the sale of the end-to-end portfolio of Orange services related to the Business Development Manager's specific area of expertise.
o Have overview of end-to-end portfolio could include connectivity services, application performance management services, security services, consulting, integration services, service management, other professional services, and equipment.
o Support account management team in defining scope of solution and creating compelling customer-specific propositions by creatively bundling our services capability and those available through third party vendors.
o In support of Account Managers, proactively drive innovation and value-creation for the customer by bringing intellectual value and consultative advice to key customers that enable differentiated positioning with competitors.

Product Knowledge Expert - Provide regional support along with product feedback and escalate service development required to meet customer needs.
o Have a strong relationship with central domain teams (Marketing, Product Development, etc.) while providing relevant input / feedback based on customer requirements, market pricing, regulatory nuances.
o Support development of value propositions and scenarization of OpenLab use cases, Bundles, etc.
o Regional Knowledge expert providing second level product support to Sales Experts and Pre-Sales Consultants.
o Regional SPOC for Digital self-service tools ensuring regional awareness of developments along with customer demonstrations on advanced features.

Other Accountabilities - Regional strategy and market performance
o Clearly articulate trends in the market and offers from the Orange portfolio (ecosystem of partners, products and services in design and build) and provide feedback to central teams.
o Develop and drive with our innovative partner's local sales team to identify opportunities (Microsoft, Cisco, Genesys, Nice InContact, etc.).
o Manage pipeline with partners through regular business/pipeline review.
o Provide accurate forecast of strategic and tactical opportunities for Monthly Business Reviews and Strategic Plans.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

• At least 5 years of experience bringing in business and/or technical consulting revenue based on a revenue achievement target within a team.
• Experience in customer facing organizations within the telecom or IT industry with virtual team management experience.
• Subject Matter Expert in Digitalization / API's / Bots or the Enriched Interactions & Collaboration portfolio.
• Experience with contract negotiation.
• University/College or equivalent degree in Information Science or Business.
• Fluent level of English language. Other European language is a plus.
• Agile person with result-driven approach.
• Consultancy led approach with a both a business and technical focus
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, including high level presentation skills to board level.
• A resilient and driven character, with ability to self-motivate and self-manage in the context of challenging employee and customer environments.
