In this role you will be working to support EMEA and WW customers who've outsourced the management of their IT network infrastructure to DXC. On a day to day basis you will provide mainly remote incident, problem, change management and act as a high level NW technical expert. You'll need to be pro-active and regularly analyze data at your disposal to help drive improvement in quality and productivity of services. The L3 team contributes to project related activities by implementing planned network changes and support network migrations involving different teams. You will need to be able to demonstrate high level of technical skill in the following areas on the daily basis. LAN, WAN, Security, WIFI, RAS and newly developed SD technology.

Main Tasks:
  • Manage and implement complex NW changes as part of a project implementation for the existing customers, execute NW normal, non-standard or routine changes, cooperate with project team and engineering team on various NW migrations or new device implementations. Analyzes and solves complex incidents involving several different & remote support teams, Identify root cause of incidents and make appropriate recommendation to avoid future failure
  • From a technical perspective you will work with various technology including SD LAN, SD WAN, SDDC, Cisco ISE, Cisco Umbrella, Skybox, Cisco Secure X, Cisco DNA Center for Wi-Fi, Firepower Management System, Symantec & McAfee proxy solutions.
  • You will use and utilize network performance systems: Netscout nGeniusONE, Cisco vAnalytics, Cisco DNA and various internal DXC systems
  • Ensure network of the customers continues to operate efficiently with minimum downtime
  • Understands, synthesis and clarifies customer need
  • Proactive to anticipate issues or situations which impact service quality, adapts quickly to new technology & understands complex infrastructures
  • Strictly follows Move to Production (M2P) process including to check that tools and documentation are up to date
  • Perform investigation on new technology, help inbound project managers and other support team to introduce new technology, capacity planning & performance management
  • Acts as point of contact for customers and Delivery Leads for complex technical issues.
  • Providing help, coaching and training to L1, L2 and GSD teams to spread out network knowledge and experience
  • To fulfill these tasks, regular standby and overtime work is expected.

  • This position is based in Slovakia, Bratislava
  • Permanent Contract with 3 months of probation period
  • Full time position
  • Working time: mostly EU business hours, approximately once per 3 months one week of afternoon shift, approximately once per 2 months one week of standby shift (can be changed)
  • Salary offered: will be agreed based on candidate`s experience

Personality requirements and skills

Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT operations and Network operations
  • Cisco Certification to at least Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in troubleshooting a broad range of network technologies
  • Strong expertise in at least one specific network technology
  • Analytical and complex incident solving
  • Understanding and clarifying customer needs
  • Ability to coordinate complex network changes involving several different support teams
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Fluent English
  • Strong communication skills

Technical Knowledge:
From a technical perspective you must be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
  • Troubleshooting and resolving firewall, WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi and network security issues
  • Administering TCP/IP LAN's (VLAN routing, VTP, Spanning Tree)
  • Administering large-scale and complex WAN networks
  • Troubleshooting skills in various technologies (Cisco, Checkpoint, F5, Symantec, McAfee..)
  • Diagnosing network problems and maintaining network security

It will be an advantage if you also have:
  • Cisco Certification Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Infrastructure Libraries (ITIL) processes
  • Experience with Software-defined (SD) networking
