We are looking for a talented and passionate individual experienced in IT technology or software company with motivation to build great professional and security services ESET delivers over its product portfolio.

As a member of global product management team at ESET headquarters, you will have a chance to shape the future of ESET services for business customers around the world, including some of the most famous corporations (airlines, banks, car manufacturers and others). Since cybersecurity services are becoming an important part of ESET business portfolio, your role will be to assure that ESET cybersecurity services and support services are built and provided in a way they are competitive in the market.

You will cooperate with other leading experts in their respective fields from development, product management (related to services under your jurisdiction), interaction design and marketing communication teams. You will be responsible for defining the product vision, strategy and roadmap of specific set of services. You will be responsible for commercial success of specific services since you will directly participate in a team of domain experts who will make sure ESET services succeed in the market. Your role will be to execute strategic, operative and technical product life-cycle activities leading to that success. This role will be co-responsible for financial KPIs (such as revenue), since this type of KPIs will be co-owned by the key stakeholders in the agile services team.

Within your role, you will be conducting ongoing market and customer research - by talking to technical people in charge of security within the organization - to gather and understand their specific problems and needs. Then, your focus will be put into transferring gathered market expertise related to enterprise security into business and product requirements with one goal that you should keep in mind all the time - to assure success and competitiveness of the service on the security market. You will be primarily responsible for creating, maintaining and prioritization of service backlog of business and technical requirements for service development and delivery teams, taking into account market needs and companywide business strategies.

Additionally, your responsibility will be to present internally and externally to help other internal teams, business partners or business end customers understand core values and benefits of the services under your responsibility. You will perform regular evaluation of service success on the market and you will define specific service goals, KPIs and feature improvements.


- Expand the service knowledge including the technical aspects of individual features of products.
- Be responsible for the complete lifecycle of a high priority service or family of services assigned, without supervision of more experienced colleagues.
- Execute ongoing user research to build own market knowledge.
- Develop own market knowledge by monitoring relevant markets, technological trends and business models.
- Perform an independent opportunity assessment.
- Define goals and strategies for services and their versions.
- Identify and articulate unresolved market problems.
- Define formalized business and product requirements and communicate them to the rest of the organization.
- Drive cooperation on achieving services targets with other product managers as well as with other relevant teams and other key stakeholders across the company.
- Actively use product management processes and frameworks.
- Maintain and update service roadmaps.
- Define a portfolio product strategy, combining various types of applications and systems, possibly serving various customer types.
- Approve service positioning.
- Create a service bulletin.
- Participate in the preparation of materials for internal product management processes and activities.
- Participate in the optimization and improvement of the quality of processes impacting cross-team collaboration on products and services.
- Propose optimizations of existing processes and systems and be actively involved in their implementation.

Personality requirements and skills

- Minimum of 7 years of a proven experience as a technology/IT/software company Product Manager (out of which at least 2 years in services field)
- Business customer orientation and proven ability to properly understand business customer needs is required
- Strong communication and presentation skills to various audiences in English are required
- Previous experience in Business 2 Business, especially enterprise segment is an advantage
- Previous working experience with administration of enterprise network or endpoint security is an advantage
- Previous product management job related to cybersecurity service delivery is a significant advantage
- Dedication, excellent attitude towards the goals, passion about the product/service and its broader context are key values of the suitable candidate
- Ability to manage strategic and operational challenges


Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world's first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world - dubbing it NOD. In 1992, together with their mutual friend Rudolf Hrubý, they formally established ESET.
