Job description, responsibilities and duties
HZI for its engineering & construction activities relies on a portfolio of business tools and data bases, which is a combination of market products and in-house developments.
• Main purpose of this function is to develop the business tool portfolio of the company, by developing / streamlining data bases, managing and enabling data exchanges from to different sources
• Supporting and monitoring performance of existing data pipelines·
• Developing new data pipelines including
• reviewing data sources
• security and performance considerations
• extract, transform and load techniques
• defining data storing approach
• Develop new reports using Microsoft PowerBI or PowerQuery

Personality requirements and skills
• Degree in Computer Sciences / software engineering with 5+ years of experience as Software developer, Systems or Data Engineer
• Relevant Knowledge and Experience in designing and maintaining ETL pipelines SQL, SQL Server, Windows Server, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), Python, DAX, Microsoft PowerBI or PowerQuery
• Experience working for a large, multi-location organization, managing design and construction projects, ideally in energy sector
• Didactic skills (training + support for internal and external stakeholders)
• Fluency in English, Italian and / or German are a plus
• Relevant Knowledge and Experience in designing and maintaining ETL pipelines SQL, SQL Server, Windows Server, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), Python, DAX, Microsoft PowerBI or PowerQuery
