Job description, responsibilities and duties

Technical IT Integration Engineer

As a Technical IT Integration Engineer, you will be cross-functional managing and supporting enterprise IT applications in the manufacturing area, used by Siemens Healthineers Business Units globally in Europe, India, the U.S. and China. Your tasks and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following.

IT Support and Technical Expertise

  • Coordinate and discuss special technical requests with internal and external IT service providers
  • Contribute to the Knowledge, Release and Configuration Management processes
  • Perform Escalation Management on a technical level
  • Define and ensure backup and restore plus disaster recovery scenarios
  • Coordinate special technical requests with IT service providers
  • Contribute to a holistic implementation of an IT application architecture (technology, interfaces, landscape, cybersecurity)
  • implement data integration and mapping concepts
  • prepare data extracts and apply data transformations
  • support migration concept from legacy applications
  • analyze database extracts and (OS) logfiles to further improve system stability and performance
  • Take care on the Access Management process
  • Ensure IT application availability as well as performance
  • Ensure a SaaS (Software as a service) and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) based enterprise IT-Platform availability 24/7 as well as the application performance
    • working hours: 8/5 (Mo.-Fr.)
    • on-call: during nights and weekends in team rotation
  • Provide 2nd level support within the Incident Management process (e.g. trouble shooting)
  • Provide 3rd level support within the Problem Management process (e.g. root cause analysis)

Quality/Compliance Management

  • Contribute to accurate and up-to-date quality and end-user documentation
  • Assist during internal and external audits

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • 2-5 years of experiences in operational IT Support especially in Incident and Problem Management
  • Hands on experience with web-based and cloud applications
  • Required IT know-how:
    • Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service
    • Microsoft .NET
    • Windows Server
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Internet Information Services
    • Common network architecture (DNS, Active Directory integration)
    • Cybersecurity aspects
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on multicultural sensitivity
  • Critical thinking and analysis skills with respect to varying customer and business processes and requirements as they relate to a larger picture
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Structured, proactive, and self-directed work style
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

- German language skills would be a plus and highly appreciated

- Experience in Healthcare industry business processes

- Experience in the manufacturing area

- Availability for international business travel including USA, Germany, India and China
