Job information
As a Senior Buyer - Logistics, your focus will be on road freight and transportation procurement across Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). You will: • Lead and support tenders in the area of road freight, and contribute to initiatives across other logistics categories (e.g. ocean freight, warehousing). • Support the implementation of 4PL logistics models and contribute to their standardization and performance transparency. • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance to ensure continuity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. • Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, legal, finance and 4PL partners to ensure smooth execution and alignment. • Identify market trends, source new suppliers, and promote innovation in logistics procurement. You will thrive in this role if you: • Enjoy working with large datasets, mining insights, and using Excel or e-sourcing tools to support decision-making. • Have strong stakeholder management skills - from local operations teams to global category managers. • Are structured and independent, but also a true team player. • Can navigate a matrix environment and bring clarity and structure into complexity.

Generally required knowledge:
• 3+ years of experience in logistics procurement (preferably road freight) or tender/project management in a logistics provider or 4PL environment. • University degree (business, supply chain, engineering or related). • Fluent English (C1); German or Italian is a plus. • Experience with 4PL implementation is a strong advantage. • Proficiency in Excel, digital tools, and project management.
