What the job is about:
You will partner senior stakeholders to develop the strategic direction for the market capability plan, (what and how) by completing learning needs analysis to identify current and future capability needs across the group, feeding this into an overarching Group Tesco Capability strategy. Sitting within the Capability PoE/Market, you'll work closely with the other capability partners to ensure a standardised and consistent approach is applied to all learner audiences. You'll work closely with the Capability Design Leads and TBS to shape, influence and own capability for your business area(s). You will be visible, responsive, challenging and effective at building relationships and influencing across the group. You'll be an L&D expert and take an 'outside-in' approach, always striving to maintain industry expertise.
- Leverage experience working across a global organisation and multiple markets to develop future skills and lead the market capability strategy.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape and influence the strategic direction for market learning, focusing on both the "what" and the "how"
- Conduct thorough, data-led learning needs analysis to create and implement prioritised, market-focused capability plans that align with both market and central strategic priorities.
- Work with other Capability Partners to integrate market needs into functional plans and vice versa.
- Ensure a consistent approach across all learning products and platforms.
- Contribute to establishing a world-class Group PoE within capability, bringing in outside-in thinking and prioritising the learner experience.
- Champion and model "Win Together" behaviors, driving a culture of learning and contributing to a cultural change program across the organisation.
- Partner with people business partners, talent partners, and POE teams to ensure alignment with the overall colleague experience.
- Promote the core learning offerings for colleagues, managers, and leaders.
- Influence the business to adopt these offerings and ensure a seamless learning experience across markets.
- Oversee safe and legal training specific to your market, working with TBS to create compliant content.
- Ensure adherence to governance processes and prioritize work according to group capability plans.
- Take a cost-conscious approach to budgeting, sharing accountability for budget decisions.
