WHAT THE JOB IS ABOUT: 
 

Delivery of Tesco response to EUDR (European Union Deforestation Regulation)
Maintenance of active product/supplier lists for lines in scope of EUDR and risk assessing all new products launched
Ownership of Tesco CE Human Rights improvement plans and management of their delivery in the business
Writing and maintaining Tesco CE policies for Sustainability and Human Rights
Tracking local supplier compliance with our Human Rights policies and Sustainability legislation.
Monitoring, preparation and implementation of new legislation and requirements from European/Local legislation
Monitoring and management of key Tesco internal commitments and policies including high risk commodity certification, approved sourcing locations and animal welfare commitments
Rainforest Alliance (RFA) lead and delivering required external submissions on time
Technical and Sustainability management of our Goods and Services not for Resale (GSNFR)
Engaging and influencing key business stakeholders in Sustainability agenda
Coaching and supporting of stakeholders and colleagues from other CE teams
Preparation of documentation for Group and CE Risk Compliance Committees
Reporting updates to the business on required frequency
Reporting progress towards sustainability commitments e.g.. quarterly planet updates
Educating the CE teams on legislation and internal processes
Monitoring and checking the sustainability compliance, creating action plans to mitigate risks
